Now is our time to explore the world and be as creative as we can be. It might be messy but we'll get there.
An exhibition that will showcase all of my colleague’s hard work and creativity produced over the past three years. But the poster isn’t just a visual treat. It’s also a reflection of the transformative experience that comes with being a part of Dawson’s Graphic Design program. It’s a reminder that our past experiences, challenges, and triumphs have all contributed to making us stronger and more capable than ever before.
This vibrant and eye-catching poster was designed to spark curiosity and inspire others to explore the exciting world of art and design. With a focus on conceptualization, typography, and the balance between communication and artistic self-expression, this poster was for an exhibition to celebrate creativity and innovation. Considering all these factors, I wanted to infuse my personal journey with Dawson’s education into this project.
Ultimately I chose “now” as the perfect summary of my three years in the program. This word encapsulates the challenges we faced from 2020 to 2023 - from the pandemic to climate change to economic uncertainty - and emphasizes the importance of focusing on the present. The mark making in the design symbolizes the beauty in chaos and highlights that graphic design is not just technical, but a blend of anything and everything we can imagine.
