I didn’t just focus on making it visually appealing, I re-imagined the entire concept of what a first aid kit should be.
The redesign makes it more user-friendly and practical. My goal was to create a design that not only catches the eye, but also has a meaningful impact on the shelf. The Oh Shit Kit is not your average first aid kit, it’s a statement piece that’s meant to be displayed proudly in your home. The approach
Developing a first aid kit that’s both functional and stylish isn’t a walk in the park. After examining various options in the market, I noticed that most of them suffered from one common problem - disorganization. Whether too big or too small, they failed to keep the essentials properly organized, making them inefficient during emergencies. To make matters worse, they were often unsightly and not fit for display.
The product
The innovative approach to organizing essential products in a stylish container encourages people to have one at home. Not only does it encourage people to have a kit on hand, but the refillable feature also makes it a sustainable option that reduces waste. I believe protecting yourself shouldn't be a tedious task. By combining practicality with a playful design, I’ve managed to shake up the traditional first aid kit making it something that stands out on the shelf.
