This album is not only an exciting musical piece but also an invitation to raise awareness about the environmental destruction caused by human ignorance. Inspired by the wise words of Sam Shepard during his interviews, I’ve crafted a poster as well as a vinyl that blends "devilish synths, political chaos, and the xx."
The process
Creating this poster was a unique experience. I really wanted to capture the message that the band was trying to share with their fans. So, I started by listening to their albums and letting the music inspire me. Every day, I would draw what I felt from different pieces of the music. But then, one night, as I was staring into my fireplace, something magical happened - the project started to take shape!
The outcome
Ultimately, the poster, along with the complementary elements that were incorporated, were necessary in the making of the poster. By making the burning wood the centerpiece, I believe that I really captured the album’s message of chaos and destruction. The decision to color the flames in a shade of blue provides an opportunity for viewers to interpret the image according to their own experiences and perspectives.
